Mechanical Keyboard Guide.

Pretty useful, especially the bit about the types of switches. Not convinced by the keycap printing methods section though, the laser etched caps on my ducky don't feel the slightest bit "scratchy", they are perfectly smooth. Also the letters on the caps aren't at all blurry.

PS mech kb's are awesome... :)

pps you aint a real pc gamer if you aint got one...

Aye that's the thread I got a lot of my info from, was very helpful.

And before individuals chirp up saying "I use a tenner keyboard and I still come top of all games on BF4, mechanicals are a waste of money". I agree, you don't NEED a mech keyboard to be a good gamer, however it's a much more enjoyable experience using one. They're genuinely a pleasure to use and really can make the difference between a quality feeling rig and a naff one. I went round to my mates house and he was giving me a demo of his Corsair SP2500's on MoH yet all I could notice was how poor his keyboard was. I forget what brand it was but it was a cheap and nasty rubber switch board made to look like something worth spending £50 on. I couldn't move forward and to the side simultaneously meaning I kept having to stand still before I could strafe left and right, the keys were spongey and unresponsive, it was just genuinely poor to use and despite the fact his rig was perfectly capably of playing decent games with an awesome sound system, all I could think was how poor the keyboard was.
