Media playing pc ONLY. your opinions please .

The following spec is for a PC to run & store my Itunes collection ( an always growing library ), allow playback over a nice speaker system of Itunes items & Play DVD's , Mpegs, AVIs' etc etc, and very occasionally copy a dvd. In this case I want to keep the price as low as possible, and this PC will NOT be used for gaming, just media backup , playback and word processing.

Do you think it capable enough ?

if it's used for any kind of backup you should try out a raid configuration with mirroring and you will basically always have two harddrives with the same information would one decide to fail.

Hi,

Unless you do have a backup of your music elsewhere a RAID 1 (mirror) as suggested would be a decent bet. You've already selected two disks so you'd just change the first to another 2TB and have PCS do it for you. You'd have resiliency for your data and its a simple solution.
