Monitors and stuff

Hi I just bought a new PC here. However now I need to get a monitor. I was looking at the value budget ones with 22" or 24" for less than £150 like BenQ's and Samsung.
However I came to a problem, most of those only have VGA and not other stuff like HDMI and DVI.

So first of all what is the difference? I heard VGA is the worst, but if I get a 1900x1200 HD monitor 24" with like a 2ms response time, will the VGA mean that the response time is slower and if yes whats the point of selling a 2ms response that takes VGA only?
Or is there some other factor than response time and resolution? Also how much worse is VGA than HDMI and will it mean that some of my graphics power is wasted or what?
I have a GTX460 so should I go for a cheaper VGA-only monitor or a more expensive HDMI monitor. If I go for HDMI I might have to choose a lower resolution since I can't overspend.

Thanks guys.

You want a monitor that accepts DVI, this is the standard for PC monitors. VGA is old school and HDMI is practically DVI but for the consumer TV market.

You can get a very good 1920 x 1080 monitor for around £150, it shouldnt be an issue.
