I'm going to be using it as a machine to to HEAVY 3D tasks, Video editing in After Effects, and a lot of gaming (Crysis Max Settings, Call of Duty etc) and coursework (Think this machine will be able to run MS Word 2000 for my Coursework? )
Should I change anything? My budget is £1530

First thing I would change are the Hard drives. I would change them for the Caviar Green or Black versions. Much better performence over the standard SATA hard drives.

Also What programs will you be using aswell as After Effects for 3d work etc. I ask as a Nvidia card with Cuda cores will doa better job at rendering than the AMD cards.

Trouble with the Intel 6 core offering is that it's so expensive it leaves little of the budget left for anything else. With a build such as this you get a much more balanced overall package:

I left the case option blank (budget left allocated) and I'd recommend you select one of the high end options to accomodate a rig such as this. I wouldn't say your current one is the best choice from a technical standpoint but obviously this is completely down to you.

This is slightly over budget, but i'm prepared to splash out. The ram is probably perfect for me, as i'm not really a multi-tasker, and After Effects can only utilize 6GB of Ram in Ram preview

Is that better? I need the 6 core processor as they are seen to outperform Sandy Bridge when not even over-clocked, so yeah, and they are supposed to be really good for video encoding.
