Mouse Issues

When I boot up my PC, the USB mouse turns on (LED's are on), however I can't move the cursor. |I can left/right click but moving the mouse does nothing. If I unplug then plug the mouse back in again, it works fine. I have tried to reinstall the drivers but this doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

that's an odd one, i had a similar problem though where in device manager i had two entries for the mouse, was just a matter of disabling one. if it's the same prob, you migh have to flip a coin as to which is the correct one. if you disable the mouse completely you can navigate with the keys: tab and arrow buttons etc

just double checked - i have two "HID-compliant mouse" under mice and other pointing devices, the bottom one is disabled if that is any help.

maybe a mod will be able to track down a proper fix but i've had no more problems with it.

Thanks for the reply. Just checked my device manager and it only shows one mouse entry. Strange, but getting annoying now .

Are you able to try a different mouse.
