Multi coloured lines on screen/computer crashes

After playing Farming Sim 2015 after 4 hours or so my computer crashes and the screen changes to horizontal multi coloured lines all over the screen.

I did a lot of work yesterday and I forgot to save it, so now I've lost what I did.

Is there a way to fix the problem?

depends what application you were working on. Some have auto save functions that will allow you to recall a piece of unsaved work but others will just be lost forever.

what application was the work done in?

Nothing wrong with the temps.

There can be a number of reasons for this, it's impossible to know, unless we get some log files from your system.

Please fetch the following log files for now:
*DxDiag -> Press Windows Button + R -> Type in dxdiag -> Run 64bit diag -> Save all information
*System events -> Press Windows button + R -> Type in eventvwr -> Navigate to Windows logs, System. -> In the right hand side press "save all events as" to export events
*Minidump file from the BSoD -> Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidumps and copy the contents of the folder to a different place on the hard-drive

.zip these files and upload them to a free filehosting service like dropbox, filedropper or something similar.

I don't know how to put them in to a .zip folder

Issue #2 - Regarding the crashes themselves: Looking in the event logs, the crashes are logged like this (And I count a total of 20 of these): "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." - It first started occurring back in March, and has been happening regularly since then. This might actually be a hardware issue, as this event is very straight forward: A sudden loss of power. I assume these happen only when you put load on the system, i.e start playing a game?

Issue #3 - Excerpts from the minidump analysis:
CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION (f4)
A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been
terminated.
Several processes and threads are necessary for the operation of the
system; when they are terminated (for any reason), the system can no
longer function.

->By looking at the stack text and the exception code, this looks like a hardware issue. However, this is just a minidump, and they are not always a 100% accurate. This dump was also only generated in only one of the many crashes.

Action forward
a) Update intel chipset driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-
b) Install Intel Management Interface Driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23091/Intel-ME-9-Management-Engine-Driver-for-Intel-NUC
c) Install latest AMD GPU Driver: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/amd-catalyst-15.7.1-with-dotnet45-win7-64bit.exe
d) Reboot PC
e) Install ASUS AI Suite http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/AI-SuiteIII_Win7-8-8-1_Z87M-PLUS_VER10056.zip
f) Use ASUS Ez update to update to the latest BIOS version which should be 1107, according to the website: http://www.asus.com/support/Download/1/45/2/4/UjihzQKhBmQmiVsY/8/ - As you can see, there's quite a few releases since your version which is from 2013, and "improved system stability" is specified loads of time. Exactly what they changed, we don't know. We are not so privileged to get more specific release notes, but at least we get some idea what the BIOS update does.
g) Reboot PC

Bonus Action
a) Install latest Atheros WiFi drivers: https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=38&system=5
b) Install Realtek Ethernet drivers: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...n=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true

If you still experience errors, after this, it's very like to be a hardware issue.

I'll update a few of them you've mentioned.

The GPU is up to date.

I only get the blue screen/coloured screen while playing Farming Sim 15.... and I can't play any of the Lego games because the monitor and speakers die. All the other games I play (which aren't many) are totally fine.

The GPU temps run smoothly between 50 and 70 degrees celcius.

Did you get a chance to update the BIOS as well? Also how did the memory diagnostics go?

And btw, can you tell me which games you know for certain this error doesn't occur? The 20 kernel shutdowns in the event log are those all from around when you played farming sim?
