Multimedia Audio Controller

Hi gents

This isn't directly related to my new PC but these forums have been so helpful I thought id ask for some help here.

Since I got my new PC from PCS I have decided to sell my old one. Im trying to get sound working on it again as I reformatted and installed windows.

I couldn't get the onboard sound to work on the motherboard (ASUS P5N32-e SLI Plus) so I bought a cheap Creative sound card off ebay (Creative Internal PCI Sound Card (CT4750)).

Now I can't find drivers for windows 7 because the card isn't made any more. In device manager the only option I have is Multimedia Devices which is under other devices. When I try to update the driver it says none can be found. Driver genius doesn't detect it as missing either.

Under sound controllers I have my GPUs entrys but I don't want to use these.

Any tips would be great. Im banging my head off a wall trying threads from 6 years ago about how to sort this out in windows 2000 etc. I have downloaded what I think are the correct creative drivers in compatability mode but they say I dont have the correct hardware.

Id rather use onboard sound but I just want some sound :)

Ill do that, thank you.

Not to worried about the sound card but I need some kind of sound. Any ideas why my motherboard sound isn't showing up?
Again, might be compatability issue with windows7,or you may just need need a driver, have you any of the original disks for your old computer & what are the gpu entries in sound video and game controllers in device manager.

I tried that driver but it didn't work.

I think im going to sell the PC without sound and let the new owner buy a card that suits their needs.

Thanks for the help once again.
