My Computer stops displaying and my fans speed up for no reason

Hi, I've recently bought a PCSpecialist a few weeks ago and I started having problems with it.
A week after I bought it, I installed a new hard drive and two sticks of DDR5 ram. It all went good but after a short while, I started having
problems. My first problem was that the PC was turning on but nothing else would. I would start the PC however nothing else happened.
My keyboard or mouse would not turn on and it would not display anything no matter for how long I left it. It's power button was not flickering
and there were no sounds coming from it so it just was in a vegetative state. After 2 days I decided to restart its BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and it worked.
I haven't had that issue since and worked fine for around 2 weeks. After that, I noticed that my PC would randomly stop displaying anything on my monitors and
the fans would start spinning to full speed and there was no reason for it as no components were overheating. This went on for weeks and I could not understand the issue. I then noticed a pattern that whenever I or someone else walked past it would do the same thing and I decided to test that. I just took my phone and just dropped it on the desk from a small height and it happened again. The same issue with no display and fans spinning to full speed happened and honesty its getting really irritating. I tried restarting the bios, moving the Graphics card to another slot but I just cannot seem to find the issue with it.

Please have a read of this and post your full spec from your order page.

Can you then advise what components you have removed and then added - make / model / size etc

Have you reinstalled the components you removed and tested the machine to check it is not a problem with your new components at all?

Where did you source the new components from - PCS?

hi there!
I bought the pc from Currys, not directly off of the PCSpecialist website.
My specs are:
CPU: i7-13700KF
GPU: RTX 4080 16 GB GDDR6
RAM: 48 GB DDR5 (2x8) (2x16)
storage: 1TB SSD, 2TB HDD
Motherboard: ASUS Z790 Prime
CPU Cooling: PCS FrostFlow 240 Series ARGB High Performance Liquid Cooler
PSU: Corsair 850 W RMx Series Modular 80 Plus Gold Ultra Quiet PSU
----
I installed 2 new sticks of 16gb DDR5 RAM that I got off of amazon. They are the same brand like the ones that came pre-installed with the PC and I got the RAM from amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09W2YRXL1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
----
I also installed a 2TB BarraCuda Hard Drive along with the RAM that I also got from amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07H2RR55Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
----
However I did not try to remove the RAM I installed nor the Hard Drive to see if it worked.

if you get it registered with PCS, then you'll get the full spec, I'd hazard a guess the RAM is mismatched, what happens if you remove a pair of the sticks

hi there, this might be a dumb question but how do I register my pc with PCSpecialist? And secondly, I will remove the second pair of RAM I installed to see if it will make a difference tomorrow since its late now

Give PCS a call - registering also means your warranty is activated as well in case you need to return / get it fixed at all. In which case you would have to remove ALL additional components.

With the fact that certain things happen when someone walks past or causes vibration - dropping phone on desk next to it etc - have you checked to ensure that there are no loose cables after you opened the machine and inserted your new items. It could be worth checking all connections are ok.

I checked for any lose wires 4 times and nothing was lose. It is getting so annoying to use my pc. I have to restart it almost 20 times a day simply because I walked passed it, sat on my chair too fast or put my phone on my desk too hard.

If you remove all new components and it still occurs then I suggest an RMA but to do that you will need to register the machine with PCS.

I am in the process of registering my PC with PCSpecialist. Funnily enough, I am now typing this from my phone because my PC decided to do that again and I pretty much just gave up trying to use it.

You need to return it to its original state when you bought it and test it then - lets hope you have not damaged it in anyway adding your own items.

Also you mentioned resetting the BIOS - you havent flashed it or anything have you and you have only reset it?
