If i was you I would get only one monitor and use the spare money on upgrading the cpu and the gpu
This is the type of spec I would recommend.
You could downgrade the psu to the 650w corsair one if you don't plan on crossfiring in the future as an upgrade and then you could change the gpu to the amd 6970

well, i would be using the monitors for multitasking since i do quite a lot of research. GFX are not a huge priority (only be watching HD movies and football manager) but speed is a huge factor. I've been looking at sanybridge as well, which i may consider.

If you are not gaming a lot than the gtx 460 should be enough but maybe consider the 2gb one, it might be usefull for 2 monitor display and definately check out the sandy bridge when its availabe on the the 9th on the website.

Great spec, well balanced. I'm with you on the dual monitor setup - I couldn't handle a single monitor system anymore...

thanks mate, i figure the 2GB is over the top, will i even be using the extra 1GB? but yes i will wait for sandybridge and try and add it to the spec...the processor looks awesome, especially the 17 2600K

 

[PCS]

If you're an avid gamer the 2GB GTX460 is not over the top, but there are not many games than will fully utilise all 2GB of RAM at the moment, if any. It will however be more future-proof though.

Sandy Bridge will definitely be popular.
