Its hard to give someone advice on the specs after they have bought it, not knowing what your budget was, what games you intend playing etc, what other uses you want the laptop for, whether you are buying for portability, etc

I intend to play on Arma 3, DayZ, Ready or Not, GMod etc. mainly PC games I wanted to play ever since I started gaming on console (aside from DayZ, but the mods make it a whole new game lmao) got it for around £1,380

Laptops are very different to desktops for 2 main reasons

The core components aren't upgradeable, so you can't upgrade the CPU or GPU, so you overspec it as much as possible to make it last a little longer. No matter what you spec, the GPU will be the first bottleneck, that's unavoidable, so laptops have a much shorter lifespan than a desktop. Plus they're more expensive for lesser powered components.

The GPU's in laptops are about 2 tiers down from desktop counterparts, so a laptop 4060 is a little under a desktop 4050 tier, so it will struggle at 1080p without reducing settings, that's new, within a year you'll have to start heavily reducing settings.

So while it will work, it's with major compromises, and it won't be long before the VRAM will not support modern games.

So was that your actual budget or could you have spent more?

There would have been a few tweaks to the spec you have chosen if you had asked earlier.

One example being the memory - I would have suggested 2 x 16 rather than 1 x 32 (unless of course you were looking to add a further 32 later on down the line - but that would in honesty be a waste - I have 64 (2x32) and it hardly uses more than 32).

The comments above by @SpyderTracks are sort of true too - my laptop is a 2060 and yes I can still play Cyberpunk on it but have to have it turned down in the settings to get a decent FPS but the game does still look and play well - later games though, I now have a nice new desktop as my laptop is 3 years old.

Dont get us wrong, the laptop will serve you well for a while.

Please note - do not waste money and activate or use Nortons - uninstall it and just let Windows Defender do your anti virus.

Another suggestion would have been a larger drive than the 256, depending on your budget of course. Whilst I know some of the advice you read on here says get a smaller faster drive for the OS - I would say that that really refers to the desktops nowadays.

What with the size of games nowadays, only room for 2 drives now in these laptops, and having used laptops for the last 6 years myself, I found that the storage can become an issue unless you are disciplined in your gaming / filing - as in uninstall a game you havent played for a while to install other games you will be playing. In addition, if you are not sure about opening up and adding / removing components, as it can be fiddly on a laptop, then its best to put in what you can afford to start with.

Others may disagree, but just letting you know from a user point of view.
