And I went for the 3 day fasttrack. Ordered Monday morning - already in Quality Control. Wow - took about 8 days to get to that point last time lol
£1300 got me this following beauty (technically £3 over my budget of £1300).
CASE: Had to go 2nd choice on case to get it fasttracked built this week (should have it by Friday) - but still a nice case and ticked the box of being NVIDIA SLI ready but not full size. e.g. You can get a Nvidia branded version http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=18273328
DRIVE: The 60GB SSD + 750GB combo should work really well using Intel Smart Response on the Asus mortherboard to combine the two into a single very fast volume.
MOTHERBOARD: I went Asus again as my last rig had it and I loved the graphical EFI BIOS. (Intel Smart Response looks cool to me ... e.g. http://www.hitechlegion.com/reviews/storage/hdd/10272-intel-srt-asus-p8z68-vpro-review?start=1
COOLING: I'm not into overclocking but I wanted some head room for the future. Hence the well reviewed Tital Evo
GPU: Goodbye ATI, hello Nvidia for me. I agonised over which nvidia as the step in price from a 570 to a 580 is huge. But I decided the 580 was what I wanted and I was keen to avoid SLI on day of purchase.
PSU: 800W should give me (just) enough for a 2nd 580 if that scary day ever comes.
