Hi all.

My new Pc arrived today, will post pics when all set up. Had a lot of fun configuring the net via the new Wireless Router, (Why wireless? More wires than before!), and some other stuff. Just got connected after about 4 hours!
Will post more stuff later, but initially I will say this: Monitor is AWESOME. PC very quick!

My initial help question is this:
I have the Maelstrom case. But the large fan on the side is not connected. I have a spare couple of leads etc, but even so, I wouldnt have the foggiest on WHERE to connect the fan to!

Please advise.
Hope to speak soon.

Are the leads coming out to a connector like this:

or... this?

And here are some cables etc that I mysteriously have left. Obviously Im a muppet, and these are used to connect the fan? The ASUS cable is for HD I think?

Any advice please. Hope you can make some sense from these pics.

Cheers

Yep thats a molex, now you need to find a male OR female spare connector in your case somewhere to connect EITHER of those two, u dont need both from what i remember. So...if u pick male, find a free female connector coming out of the PSU

pics 1 & 2: This is a double molex to 6 pin pci express connector provided with a gpu when u buy one. It provides 1 pci express power connector if ur psu is old and either doesnt have pci express power connectors or only has 1 (gtx 470 for e.g. needs 2. So u usec2 molex to provide the extra connector.

Pic 3 (right) its an IDE cable for connecting old cd drives and ide harddrives

Oki dokes :) Its quite easy, so I wouldnt panic :) If you are unsure, take pics of wires leading away from your PSU and a general pic of teh inside of the PC and ill circle the one you should use.

Yep! That was the guy. Fan spinning like a good'un now. Dont suppose you know how to turn the LED lights on do ya? Not vital, but it would look pretty! LOL :)

LED lights? the side fan one? MAYBE you need that other cable plugged in then, try plugging the second one into another opposite gender connector. If you mean the frontal, there should also again, be a cable that has either come loose or unplugged from the frontal FAN
