Looks like 64gb of RAM is gonna be an overkill unless you do have a specific need but you deffo dont need that for gaming. An AMD 3600X or the 3800X would be a better choice than the Intel chip.

Do you need that much storage???

tbh yes i got big hdd's atm and the games i download take alot of space and id sooner pack them to one drive them split them apart

Well I’m going to mix it up and throw in this AMD spec that would chew up the Intel and spit it out.... and it’s cheaper!

I would agree but I'm not a AMD fan always had problems with them and too much messing about with them plus caused loads of problems gaming tho that's just me.
I'll stick to intel

That's AMD of old, they're an entirely different company now.

It's worth reading up on the consequences of choosing Intel, they're the poor mans option these days, compared to AMD they're just awful processors for so many reasons.

Thanks ill take a look i will agree tho i might be stuck in the old way of thinking i did have AMD and it was a pain at every dam turn i stuck to intel just for length of time id have the CPU and reliability. Not so worried about mass speeds and the bees knees but just it working, but once again old way of thinking i guess

It's totally your choice at the end of the day, I messed up and ordered, then came on the forum. Tbh I wish I had returned my PC within the 14 day cool off period. Dont get me wrong, mine is everything I ever wanted but if I went down the AMD route I wouldve got a better machine for the money.

If you factor in that AMD are releasing a faster CPU soon as well, which could increase the power by a further 25% (depending on where you read the blurb), is another nail in Intel's coffin

Its true i still think Intel may not be the total best chip on the market since AMD is getting better these days I still think Intel holds it for better in terms of gaming performance over AMD. In terms of just general usage and multi tasking then I think AMD has it yes its also good for gaming just not as much as Intel and not to start and fight over it lol SORRY! bad me!

If you read that thread, you'll see that's only true at 1080p competitive, anything over that, the load is transferred to the GPU and you'll find the £100 AMD 3300x beats the £500 Intel 10900k, anything under that and the screen will be the bottleneck so again CPU is irrelevant.

But anyway, performance is like the lowest reason on the list, it's the more important security issues, thermal issues and power issues that are far more relavant.

Intel is only better at high refresh 1080p, usually with lowered settings. If you’re a competitive gamer then maybe. But if you’re using three 1440p screens, you’ll see no benefit from the Intel...
