MY PC REVIEW - FROM ORDER TO DELIVERY AND TEST

Ok, so after a full day it's time to review and write my thoughts about my new PC...

I got to know PCSpecialist a couple of years ago but never ordered anything until now.

Ordering:

I'd like to start saying that initially I ordered elsewhere, after times got too long (order from the other place was with 3060TI) I cancelled and moved to PCSpecialist where I saw they had the RX 6700 XT available. I immediately placed my order and I was pleased to see how I got updated each 5 days with build estimate time. I ordered on March 21 (which was a sunday) and it went into building on April 5. Fun fact is they ran out of packaging materials so my shipping has been delayed for a couple of days, but that's not PCS's fault since the packaging material had to be delivered and was coming in late. The whole process has been quite fast and smooth, couldn't have asked for more.
PS: I also called them on the phone some times and a special thanks goes to Mario and Valentina from the Italian support team. They are truly amazing and every company should be made by people like them. This kind of employees make a big difference for customer satisfaction.

Vote for ordering - build - shipping - customer support via phone: 10/10

Shipping:

PC got shipped and I got all sorts of problems with FedEx. My PC had to come to Italy. FedEx had several delays, tracking not updating, I experienced continious weight changes of my package (@SpyderTracks 😂) I remember the day it moved from 19KG to 24KG lmao. It got shipped on Friday 16th April and as you can see from this review, I got it yesterday. I went to pick it up myself from FedEx depo. They also lack communication when they call you, they don't talk to their drivers since I have been called to arrange my pickup and after 15 minutes driver called me asking where my house is. Luckily the box was in good condition.

Shipping: 3/10 (though this is not PCS's fault)

Now let's get to the PC:

From the moment I opened the box and placed my Corsair 5000X case on my desk it was immediately "WOW". The case is huge but is so beautiful. I opened the side panel to have a quick look inside and Mr. A. Schorah, which build my PC did a great job with cables in front (thank you to him as well). Everything was in its place, nothing weird to see inside, seems like it has been build by someone that is truly passionate about computers. I installed my brand new Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL RAM (4x8 3200Mhz), changed the front panel of the waterblock with the transparent one and turned the PC on. Did usual stuff like installing a fresh copy of Windows (yes, I ordered with no OS because I already have my license), I installed all the Windows 10 updates and after that moved upon downloading standard software like Radeon software, iCUE and all sorts of utilities for the PC. I immediately installed COD Warzone to test the PC out GPU side and I get a whopping 160-220 FPS on it at max settings (and Warzone has some of the worst optimizations out there).
Download and installed FurMark as well and stress tested the GPU with no issues at all. The PC runs a dream! I opened the front panel again, removed the standard black PCS fan which has been installed as rear exhaust fan, installed a brand new Corsair SP 120 RGB Elite fan for rear exhaust (which are the same as the front fans this PC comes with). Opening the rear panel where all the cable management is left me with my mouth open: everything is so clean! It was a piece of cake for me routing the 2 cables from the new rear exhaust fan to the Commander Core. The PC is ultra quiet and fresh as well!

Build quality - cable management - PC quality and test: 10/10

Final note:

Now I truly understand how PCS works and they work very well. In each company there are ups and downs but I see there are more ups.

A special thanks goes as well to this forum, populated by lovely people!

Apart from your case, mobo, GPU, cooler, drive setup, PSU and RGB - your setup is almost exactly the same as mine! :)

It looks fab - a great write up there by you also. Really nice to hear more overall happy and positive stories. Bravo!

Yes, I think so.

But knowing it sort of makes me feel a little Italian (I means as in I feel like an Italian national, not that I inappropriately annoy short Italian people) - and being from Ireland that seems very exotic!

What do you mean with "annoy short Italian people"? 😂

Don't worry - it just silly humour that's all.

Back to your build good sir! Might I ask where you bought the SP120 RGB Elite? My rear fan is looking quite sad now after seeing your photos!

No no I didn't take it as a offence or something like that ahahaha. Really didn't understand what you meant to say. Remember I'm Italian and sometimes don't get some foreign jokes 😂

As for my SP 120 RGB Elite it comes from Amazon Italy, but it's also on Amazon UK (I linked it once in this forum)

Here's link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Pe...ir+sp120+rgb+elite&qid=1619624532&sr=8-1&th=1

You can get it in single pack or triple with Lighting Node Core included

Super - I’ll have to have a look at that. It might be time to start the full on disco in my house! 🕺

If you don't have full RGB then what's the point in any RGB at all? ;)
