What does that cost? What is your budget?

What will you be using it for?

If gaming is one of the uses, what monitor are you pairing this system with?

4k is the stuff that dreams are made of. Why all the storage though? Seems strange to have an M2 drive, a 2.5" SSD and 2 offset conventional drives?

The Optane is useless when the OS is on the primary M2 drive. The Soundcard is a bit of a waste to be honest, 32GB of RAM is massive overkill.

Did you just max everything out or something?

The Optane is only for the 4Tb drive, which is for media only. The other drives are for gaming 1TB SSD, The 2Tb is for Mod storage for my simulation games. M.2 drive is OS only.

Regarding Audio, Just looking to upgrade from standard onboard audio.

32Gb Ram will help my simulation games as I use +300 mods to give it more realism which i hope will reduce/stop lag.

Regarding Audio, Just looking to upgrade from standard onboard audio.
'upgrade' is pretty vague. The onboard audio on the mobo will be better than your old one. I'd really suggest going with onboard audio, auditioning it, and only upgrading if you actually find it substandard. If you do want better, get something decent instead of a miscellaneous / gamer branded sound card. Plus fewer PCIe cards inside the system is rarely a bad thing.

Buying a 1TB SSD for OS only is kind of nuts too. You might as well install the games onto the M.2 SSD since it has vastly higher speeds / IOPS than the Sata SSD. i.e. just drop the Sata SSD and keep OS + games on the 1TB 970 Evo. Otherwise you're buying a 1TB NVMe SSD, not really profiting from it as much as you could, and dropping a load of cash on an 860 Evo instead that will load things a bit slower...

When you say "mod storage" what are we talking? Downloaded zip archives / installers - or extracted archives that are used in a VFS for the sim? i.e. are the files on there being used when running the game/sim?

In either case, the Pro HDDs are ludicrously expensive and just not worth it.

A single 6TB or 8TB HDD would make more sense, and also clutter the build less. And probably be faster too, especially vs the 2TB drive.

I too would recommend dropping the Optane. Your media collection doesn't need it and large drives have pretty high transfer speeds (often over 200MB/s) anyway. All it's really doing for you is eating up an M.2 slot which could host another M.2 NVMe SSD...

Why the AORUS Master? Other than it being the most expensive.

Finally, don't buy this yet.

Partly because preordering components like the 9900k before they've been reviewed is bad practice as a consumer, but mostly because PCS aren't selling these systems pre-overclocked yet - and it would be mad not to get that CPU pre-overclocked (subject to reviews, etc...) Also the motherboard aren't reviewed yet, so if any one of them has poor VRM temps, or some other flaw, you won't know about it by preordering...

I think you may have misunderstood how the Optane works Psycho. It's effectively a 32GB cache for the HDD. If you use the same 32GB of files often then it would work for you, similar to how a hybrid HDD works. For mass media storage it will do nothing. It's main purpose is to accelerate OS & common program loading from the primary drive.

Same comments as above really.

Storage plan cheats yourself out of both money and performance

Deciding what motherboard and CPU to buy without reviews is like gambling, except where you don't win anything even if you bet right.

Also why the Aorus Master versus any other mobo? Bearing in mind that you can't actually answer that fully without reviews anyway...

Worth finding out what model of 2080 ti PCS are using before coughing up more for the Asus Dual in case the standard model is similar or even faster.
