Thanks for the welcome :D

Haha, well I've always had single cards myself, but I've always wanted to try out the SLI technology and such, to see how they differ to a single card, so I figured why not try it :p

You can always throw another 570 in later to try out SLI. With 2 x 460's your upgrade options are limited.

Nice spec, I'm with Gorman on the GPU front deffo go with a 570 over the 460's sli. No storage HDD just a 120GB SSD bit limiting isnt it?

Nice to see the HX1000 and Kingston RAM in there.

am i correct in saying you dont need the 1600mhz ram unless u are thinking of overclocking? if so 1333 should be fine ;)

@misterdave

I've got an external 1.5tb hdd that I use to store the majority of my stuff (music, pictures, docs etc) and I was mainly going to use it as a gaming machine

@ghostfire

Oh, I wasn't aware of that, I'll change that then, as I won't be overclocking :p
Thanks :D

Also - unless you plan to duplicate CD's/DVD's very regularly, you do not need two optical drives. Consider removing one drive from you selection.

True, and it's been done. I've also made a few other changes (replaced the dual 460's with a 570 and reduced the power supply) so I'll post an updated one later, and would appreciate any feedback

(Thanks everyone for the insightful information, it's been a real help :D)

i will say one thing though. when u place ur order make sure u tell them that u want the operating system on the SSD. just noticed u put the SSD on the second slot. just incase it gets mixed up :p

Looks good apart from the 500gb HDD, would be a good idea to change it for a caviar green/black.
