In future I am aiming to buy 2x GTX 480 and 8 gb corsair 1600 Mhz. But I wonder, is it worth to spend such money for sli GTX 480 or my desktop will be at high performance with one GTX 480 ?

A single 285 can still run all current gen games at their highest settings (Personal experiance, not given fact) so a single 480 should perform well. SLi is more of a novelty in my opinion for people with a large wallet (Yes, there is a performance increase but with high end current generation cards it seems rather pointless) . Additionally you may be better off going with a Corsair PSU.

As gishank has said, a single GTX480 will give you great performance, but it depends what you want from your PC. If you want the very best, then go for the SLi :)

It may also be worth noting that 2 x GTX460 outperform 1 x GTX480, so you could save yourself a small fortune and just add a 2nd GTX460 to your existing PC at a later date.

Id go with 1x 480 now and 1 later on in a year or so when the first starts to only play at med detail

I'm afraid I'd have to agree with Sleinous and stick with the GTX480 for now, it will breeze through any game out today and will most likely be able to on furture releases for years to come! However, if at some stage you do want to run 2 x GTX480 in Sli, you will need a better PSU - something along the lines of a Corsair TX1000.

I thaught that 800w would be enough. Anyways, its not a problem to change it... ;) But if u say that single 480 will be more than good for more than a year, ill do as u recommended :) Thanks !
