National Archives anyone?

Does anyone by any chance ever visit the National Archives at Kew? I have a real need to establish the actual movements of a Royal Navy survey ship called HMS Spitfire between May 1851 and May 1853 by checking the ship's log books. I have the reference numbers of all the relevant log books and can explain what information I need from them. If anyone is able to help and would be interested in some real research please get in touch. It's for a free e-book I'm writing, so there will be no material gain for me from this information. :)

I would do it myself of course, I've done a fair bit of research at the National Archives myself in the past, but I live on the Greek island of Crete now so it's not possible.

They have a website where it’s all digitised:

No it's not. I've already been down that road. Not all records are digitised yet and these log books aren't. In any case, those records aren't the logbooks themselves. :)

Thanks for the effort though. [emoji3]
