I'm a video producer and after seven happy years with my PCSpecialist-built editing PC, I need to replace it with a machine that can handle 4k video editing. I've modified the video editing spec machine recommended for Adobe Premiere Pro because I will run it from the Samsung SSD in my current machine. I just need the processing power.
I felt that the PCSpecialist spec was light on RAM, so I've gone from 16GB to 32GB. But I'm not sure about the quad core Xeon E3 processor and the PNY Quadro graphics card. There are better spec processors out there with many more cores and the PNY graphics card is incredibly expensive but I'm not sure what it offers that a GTX1080 can't do.
I'm sure I'm being ignorant but I'd appreciate a bit of guidance around the spec chosen by PCSpecialist vs what I need.
Thanks.
