Need urgent help!!

Hello, my pc has arrived today.
I've connected everything and the computer and screen both turn on.
However, the monitor only displays 'No input' or something like that, as in the computer is not giving it data to display.
My computer comes without windows 7, but I put the windows 7 dvd I have in the DVD, although it does give a few sounds that it acknowledged it, it doesn't display anything..

What seems the problem??

What connection are you using for the monitor DVI,HDMI?
make sure you are connecting it to your GPU and not onboard.

dont worry guys, i looked up the installation book and figured out that because i had another graphics card, i had to put it into that one... Sorry for caps lock
