Network Card advice needed

I'm going to buy a desktop, this one to be precise, and was wondering what network card I need.

I need to connect my desktop wirelessly to my router which is in another room, so I need a wireless networking card.

Is this one the one I should get - Gigabit LAN & wireless 802.11N 300Mbps PCI Card

And if I select that, does that mean that as soon as I use the computer, I can connect it to the router? No ethernet cable or anything required? I'm a bit of a newbie to desktop computers, always used a laptop before, so help would be appreciated.

Also, the PCI-E card is the same price as this one - what's the difference? When I tried to get the PCI-E one it told me I couldn't due to the motherboard being used up by the graphics card.

That is the card you will need, it should be £16

Im not sure what the PCI-E means.. i think it's express..

You won't need an Ethernet cable, and you will be able to connect to your router wirelessly I do strongly recommend homeplugs though Maybe upgrade to a Caviar Black HDD? If you have the money

Cheers for the help I may well get those homeplugs anyway

Also, as much as I'd like the faster boot times with the caviar black, I don't need the 1tb space and it's a bit costly.

Have you considered setting up a homeplug network? I found that my wireless could sometimes disconnect without warning so I set up a homeplug network which in turn allows me to have 2 routers in my home, decent connection speed and everything (Only one router required, I just enjoy having brilliant wirless wherever I go in my house)...could be worth looking into mate!

Yes, I have looked into it and it may well worth be getting. When I was gaming online on my old laptop, it used to disconnect me frequently. If that continues to happen with this pc, then I'll definitely get some homeplugs

I think PCI-E is slightly better, and it costs the same as the PCI card, and as others have said homeplugs are the way to go
