Looks pretty good to me. I'd suggest upping your storage to the 500gb or 750gb perhaps, they're only £4 and £11 more respectively. Then possibly some dead pixel cover, I needed it. Other than that you're good to go.

I think yours comes to about £1150 and I know it's a jump in budget but there's a great deal in the reviews section for a 17" vortex so it worth pointing out, it's £1279 but includes the 680m, 8gb ram and an SSD. If you ordered it you can then tweak the spec and keep the discount (£200~), so you could technically make it cheaper than the £1279 by removing items, blu ray for example.

Thank you for the replies!

I'm guessing you cant edit the spec if you have it on finance? Thanks

I don't see why not. Contact PCS for a definitive answer though.

Well a bit the bullet and its let me amend it, just hope PCS are ok with that!

Are you sure you have enough storage? It'd be cheap to up the Scorpio Black to the 500gb. I'd be tempted to add the thermal compound as well, laptops experience high temps so it'd help keep the cpu that bit happier. Other than that it looks great to me, check your invoice if your worried about getting the discount, you could always cancel if it hasn't registered but you should be fine.

I'm sure I will have enough storage as I have a lot of cloud storage I use for all pictures and documents, I've just added the thermal compound though thanks!

On the note of making changes when on finance, there shouldn't be any issues. Just worth noting, when your change makes the spec cost less than the original amount, PCS will refund that difference and your finance will remain the same. So I would expect this to be the case when increasing your spec too (except you would owe PCS).

Yeah iirc, if doing a finance jobbie, you have to pay the deposit on a debit or credit card, the remaining amount is the finance amount. When changes are made, refunds/further debits are made from the card used initially, not added subtracted/added to the finance.

Yeah they give me a credit note and a just paid for the extra thermal compound by debit card, thanks for the help!

Harvey, what did it cost after?

£1288 - was £1279 but added the thermal compound in the end. Very happy with that price.
