new gaming build check and some questions

Hello everyone,

So after 5 years I've decided I'd like to buy a new gaming machine.
A few things for you to know before you check my spec:

- I'm not planning to overclock or go SLI
- Ideally I would like this to last me another 4/5 years without having to upgrade aything.
I mainly play FF14 or WOW.

Also here are some questions about the build which I hope you can help me with:

1) CASE: Last time I went for the Cooleramaster CM690 II which in my opinion is gigantic... considering my build is there anything smaller that would comfortaby fit my build?
2) RAM: Really not sure if I should go 8gb or 16gb
3) MOTHERBOARD: Have no clue so just went for cheapest
4) FAN: I'd like something valid and possibly not too noisy so I went for the most expensive one of the list
5) GRAPHICS: There is quite a price gap between the 980 4gb and 6gb.... is it worth it?

Thanks in advance for all your help

What are your intended uses. If it is just gaming 8GB RAM is enough, although if there is not much of a price difference 16GB can be useful, especially if you are going to be editing, multi-tasking and stuff. Are you going to add your own HDDs from the old system, 500GB seems a lot but if you have quite a few games and other programmes it is easily used. You would probably be best checking benchmarks online for the GPU, although there will be people here who can help. I am a laptop user so not in a good position to advise about cases and cooling but I am sure there will be those who can and will.

I will primarily use it for some gaming and to watch films, videos. Not into anything complicated (video editing and all of that).

Currently I have a 500gb disk and I don't use even 50% of it so I think it will be ok... Main concern is case to be honest...
