New gaming build - opinions?

As the title says!

Tired of having the same computer for 6/7 years, geforce 6600, dual core, 1gb DDR2 RAM (Which I'm certain is failing :D)
SO decided to treat myself!

Looking for some input on this - (Preferably want to keep this to an intel sandy bridge build if possible - the game I play the most runs MUCH better on intel - World of Warcraft)

Would rather not go past £1,070 at all.

So!
As of right now I'm very happy with how it's looking!
This system as the title suggests, is a gaming rig. However I'm looking to either max or have very high settings on the newest DX11 titles.
Already have some sitting around ready! Metro 2033 (I know I'll get **** performance in this, heard it's terribly optimized similar to crysis) The Witcher 2 (Also heard Uber Sampling is an absolute cow to run besides having a 6990 / 590, so not at all disappointed I won't have that - looks gorgeous as it is!)

Couple things I need to clarify though,
The PSU I'm aware has a very large allowance for the system linked. Simply for future upgrades,
The mobo I'm aware is SLI ready and I've only selected one GPU, simply going to decide whether or not I want to add a second 570 down the line!

RAM is the 1600mhz simply so I won't get a bottleneck when I decide to OC (Probably not too heavy - perhaps just over 4ghz)

Thanks in advance.

This setup looks great and will be able to run World of Warcraft perfectly, unless you're thinking of playing Metro 2033 at a resolution of 2560x1600 or higher then you shouldn't have any performance issues. Yes the motherboard is SLI-ready but you'll need an 850w power supply to safely run two GTX570's in SLI. Since you'll be playing a lot of World of Warcraft it would be worth getting a Caviar Black HDD to speed up the load times for the heavly populated major cities and other areas.

Your build is very similar to what I'll be ordering soon, though I was advised that if I wanted to overclock later down the line then it would be necessary to upgrade the cooling system since the triple copper heatpipe won't be good enough.

My machine was pretty much the same but I had the next GPU. You should get PCS to overclock it for you also. If you plan to go SLI get the bigger PSU also. maybe water-cooling too.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I saw what you guys were saying, but there wasn't a 850HX option and I've been STRONGLY advised to go with the modular PSU as opposed to the TX.

And my budget simply will not allow the 1000W

secondly, PCS will overclock if I ask?
Is this GPU / CPU?

and one change to the build, decided to change to a Haf 932 for boot loads of room if I decide to change parts around later!

You should be fine with the hx750, however if you want to on the really safe side, you perhaps call PCS and ask them if they can supply you with hx850, or maybe you buy one and send it to them to build your pc with it.
PCs only overclock the cpu as far as I know.

Awesome thanks!
I'll see if I can email/call them before ordering which will hopefully be in about 2 weeks, so excited!

Yeah I was curious why there wasn't a 850HX as a possible option, I'll see if it's possible.

If you want them to overclock it go to the Overclocked PC section :), it will force you to get thermal paste and better cooling (the ECO cooling options at least for sandy bridge CPU's I think) so that it can cope with the overclocking :)

Personally, I don't think you will notice a jot of difference if you are just gaming and overclock. If you decide not to, drop the "k" series chip and downgrade the 1600MHz to 1333Mhz.

Either way, seriously consider the Caviar Black HDD

Witcher 2 should run pretty well on a 570, my sons pc is very very similar specc to yours and runs it fine. As for ubersampling, even my 590 struggles and there isn't much of a visual difference

Finally, good luck with the HaF 932, they are seriously huge cases, mine dwarfs my old case

As above, I'd advise getting a Caviar Black hard drive with a system like that, as the extra boost should be nice :) Also they're less power hungry, if you're interested in that :D
