Hello ladys and gents,

I've done a little extra saving and i now have around £1700 to spend on a gaming rig, if it doesn't come to this much then that would be a bonus but i do want quality. I would also like the option to upgrade to dual graphics card in the future,

any spec posts would be appreciated.

You could up the CPU to a i7 3770. It's not necessary for any current game, but it's possible that we'll see games in future that could use the HyperThreading of the i7, and in the meantime it would help with any heavy multi-tasking situations (eg, if you are running multiple game clients, using fraps etc.)

Easy future upgrades would be adding a second GTX-670 or another 8GB of RAM.

The case is just a suggestion. With your budget I would be sure to pick a high-end case. You could go for a full tower if you have the room.

Thanks for the replys nice to see them way under budget! Would it be worth upgrading to the Gtx 680? I am only using this machine for gaming but I intend to run everything On ultra settings

670 will run games on ultra and is close in performance to the 680 (and a lot cheaper). Can always add a second 670 in the future.

As Lorkem says, the 670 has much better price/performance. If you want to spend more I would suggest just getting 2 x 670 right off the bat. But 1 x 670 will max out pretty much anything in 1920 x 1080 on a single monitor.
