New Laptop HELP!! AMD 8970m

Hi everyone,

I only got my laptop today and i am having issues.

For some reason it doesn't seem to pick up my AMD card Only my intel one. When i go play a game like arma 2 i get :

DISPLAY ADAPTER DOES NOT SUPPORT FORMAT D24S8 FOR X8R8G888

Please help. Starting to get worried.

Do you have Catalyst Control Center installed on your Laptop with the AMD Drivers?

If so there should be an option in there to Select the AMD GPU for gaming.

Im a bit behind with GPU so i dont have the same options but there may be something where you have to tell the laptop to use the GPU with Each game.

Switchable graphics global settings and application settings are the ones to change.

Turned out to be the driver just needed reinstalling, currently testing on Valley Benchmark.

So i got this issue sorted with the help of moosEh from the tech support team.

I needed to uninstall the drivers for AMD then download them again and install.

After i did this i assigned the game to maximum performance in Cat Manager and they seem to be working great now. I will monitor over the coming days.
