New Laptop - Up-to-date Drivers ?

Hi all,

I was wondering if new PCS laptops always come with the latest/current drivers or is the OS/driver build a few months out of date and therefore I would need to run through them all and update them myself ?

I think PCS supply what is the latest known stable driver which is not the latest (untested) driver.

I am not a gamer so normally there is no need to update. However, in my case, I experienced crashes in some parts of video editing software and an update to the latest NVidia driver solved it.

Be aware that if you do update, there may be circumstances where you need to roll back if the new driver gives problems.

Always download the manufacturers drivers as VGA drivers from nvidia or AMD may not be fully optimized for your laptop.
