Its for gaming and all my uni work. Max budget is £2000, although, the details there is around £1850. Quite happy with it to be honest.

The CPU seems overkill for your intended use. The vortex will be cheaper and a single gtx 780m should max games at high settings.

770m SLI is more power for a future perspective, and the CPU will improve performance. I will think about it though.

You could consider spending less and replacing the laptop sooner rather than spending a lot trying to futureproof it. You could also consider at least gold warranty which covers parts for 2 years.

May follow your advise on the vortex, HD 8970m crossfire is a bit faster, is it not?
