i previous one was 4.8kg from 2017 ...these are absolute lightweights compared to that...also for 2700 what would you recommend from the full range of laptops available and what configurations...

thnx for the info....also for my second laptop will the 17 inch elimina pro listed above be good enough for gaming or would you recommend something else...dont really want to spend more than 1900 at most..need one without the hassle of water cooling for that one because its for the kids...

17inch minimum on both..
also just realized the high end laptops are now 16:10 aspect ratios...does pc specialist not do 17.3 inch highend laptops anymore ?

Yep, the high end chassis this year are 17" (well, it's only the recoil)
For a mid range laptop, I can propose you either an other recoil for 1930£ or an elimina for 1709£
For both of them, i went with a 4070.
The battery, the cpu (i9 vs i7), the wifi card the ram (4800 vs 3200 MHz) and the screen (240 vs 165 Hz) are (more or less) better inside the recoil.
Otherwise, it's pretty much the same configuration :

Just bear in mind, the recoil really requires the watercooler for proper performance which is an extra £120 or so, without it it will throttle pretty much constantly, there's nothing you can do to prevent that.
