New PC, fans seem loud

Hello I have just received my new PC and the fans seem to be quite loud, not what I expected. The case is a Cosair 500R and it has a button which you can change the speed of the fans, changing it to high, medium or low seems to make no difference what so ever. Is this normal? Maybe I am just worried about nothing as my Acer Predetor PC was silent. Also to note I am not running any games, just this browser.

what fans you got? mine are a bit noisy on full, if the case has a fan controller I'd assume you could adjust some of the fans with it. Have you try disconecting some of the fans to identify which one is the noisy one?

Check CPU temps with Core Temp or some other software.If temps are a bit high you may need to check the cooler is securely fixed.

Post back what the temps are,if they are a bit high maybe best phone tech support if your not confident going into the case.

Exactly what Vanthus said I'd guess you'd want the temps to be anywhere from 0c-40c in idle

They seem perfectly fine, great infact.

It may just be that you've gone from a silent machine to one that has louder fans so you're not used to it. I know when i got my new rig, i was surprised how much noiser it was compared to the near silent old one i had

Thank you Corfate I am hoping that's the noise problem too, well not a problem then hehe. As for these programmes I am downloading, geeez they add some rubbish on my nice new shiny comp grrrr, some scanner saying I got 537 problems, pay for so and so to fix them pffft. lol
