What do you think folks.
Have not had a good multi media and half decent gaming rig for years. Still avid playstation user but need to replace old PC and thought might as well make it gaming friendy.
Thanks folks.
Will be using Sony KDL-32W4000 1080p LCD TV as the monitor through HDMI lead, to save space in bedroom where PC lives, will this be OK???

Hi, do you have a budget then we can maybe give you some other suggestions, on your above spec the 6 core CPU is not needed for gaming a 4 core will be fine and also you only need 4GB ram for games you can get 8GB if you prefer but all the games i play i can only get the system using around 2GB that includes the system with a game running. Yes your sony will be ok to use and before i forget do you really need the bluray player as you could watch them on the PS3 just to either save a bit of money or put it elsewhere in the system.

Whats your budget? Do you want to play the latest games on uber settings or quite content to go lower?

You could easily drop the CPU to a quadcore and put that money into the GPU, which is where the performance is for gaming.

If you post a budget then im sure someone will post up a spec for you to look at.

Budget is £800, thanks for budget advice as by knocking off blu ray and take it down to 4g ram, change card to GTX 560i

The only thing i would change on that is to put a better quality 650W Corsair PSU apart from that it should do you well.

This set up will eat through pretty much all games.

Maybe consider a Intel Processor? Like the i5 2500. Better than the X4 AMD CPU. Not sure how much more it is though. If you can afford it, I would recommend the i5. The X4 AMD CPU will do you just fine though.

I have stuck with the AMD as i have found them so reliable in the past, thanks for help though. Building a PC is like being in the "sweet shop" ..... we all have our favorites and so many to choose from :)
Just did not want to go over budget, as the misses will make me wear my B*lls for earrings....
