Any thoughts on the spec below.

Has to last me the next 5-7 years but will probably be my last PC purchase as I am 68 now!

Used mainly for Lightroom, Photoshop and some video editing.

What about a capture card?

Thanks

The i9 runs extremely hot and is super expensive. And depending on the uses isn't all that much better than an AMD R7 2700x, or an i7 9700k. For your uses, mostly Lightroom and PS I think the 9700k is the better choice as it's less likely to burn your house down (kidding, but seriously the thermals are much more manageable).

Very similar performance, but much more manageable thermals and a lower price tag make the case for the 9700k

The Pro HDDs are ludicrously expensive and not close to being worth the price.

VS series PSUs are budget end and not really fitting for a build of this budget

The silencio is not at all suitable for cooling very high end components. The Fractal cases like the Define R6 are a lot more fitting.

Why the Z390-E motherboard? What features do you want from it?

Not really, ubuysa.

The work that I need the pc for will cease in a couple of years. From then on, I will only need it for my own recreational purposes. The point of going higher up with the specs is to give some kind of future proof.

Only last month the latest Adobe CC update became incompatible with my Win 7 machine as it is 7 years old. Still a great pc though but it is time for a change/upgrade.
