The Optimus VIII has one HDD bay that takes 2.5" drives, and 1 M.2 slot that takes M.2 SSDs.

So you can have one sata drive (like an HDD or a regular sata SSD) and one M.2 SSD.

That's great thanks. I think for now I'm going to leave the setup as it is and invest in a ssd later down the line

Hi roblan a delivery tip for you , examine the box the pc comes in for any signs of damage , the carriers dpd dont have a very good reputation , take a look at trust pilot website . If you see any signs of damage photograph it and send it to pcs BEFORE you turn it on then after a few minutes ring their office to discuss what to do next. My pc arrived with a big hole on the side of the box and the bottom of the box had the packing tape missing but you could see ripped cardboard fibres where the tape had vanished from ??? . I had to get somebody to help me carry the box inside , upside down due to no strength in box with tape missing. The front cooling fan cover had come off where the hole was in the box. Also , the contents of all the smaller boxes had spilled out due to rough handling so i had to ask pcs what i should have as i did not know if anything was missing.

Wow I hope my experience isn't like this!

Check the package carefully of course, as you would with any delivery for obvious signs of damage before opening it, but I've never had a bad experience with DPD. Or if I have I can't remember it. My two PCS computers have arrived entirely intact, with packaging all present and correct.

I've never had any problems with DPD either, in fact they're by far the best delivery company in my area, always there when they say they're going to be, usually right at the beginning of the timeslot, and they always take care of the packages.

maybe the INDIVIDUAL guy ( working for the company ) was having a bad day , all i can say is i took the photos plus he did not want to help me carry the rig until he saw my wife in a wheelchair who obviously could not help me.

Apparently it's been built now!! What will happen with the delivery as I know I won't be at home for the booking. Will they leave it with a neighbour?

Not to my knowledge unfortunately no they wont (that might depend if you ordered it on finance or not). You'll usually get a 1 hour delivery window and you can opt to change the day its being delivered from there (but not typically to a Saturday).

I work 5 days with week and often not home till Fter 6pm at night! What would they do with the parcel if it can't be signed for?

Is it still possible to download all the drivers needed off the web?

Cheers

Well had the laptop just over 2 weeks and already I've run into a serious problem.

After experiencing several crashes requiring the power button to be held down I am now unable to get into windows at all. Currently getting the blue screen of death at every start up.

Not impressed! I'll be calling tomorrow and asking for it to be replaced!
