I've only used Audacity for music creation in the past but I really don't think you'll need 16GB of RAM.

I have been producing music for many years now, not that I have much to show for it.

But I have used various VSTis in conjunction with insert effects and I know how much power it needs.

With quad core it will be fine but you really don't need 16gb of RAM.

would recommend the xonar sound card over this one, seems to be much better than the cheap creative ones
