No Product Code with Windows 10 Disk

Hi

My new labtop from PCS came with Windows 10 pre-installed, with the physical disk supplied. However, I have noted that there appears to be no Windows 10 porduct key with the disk. If I was to ever reinstall Windows, how would I activate it without the key?

I have checked underneath the labtop but there is no windows product key sticker there as I have seen on my earlier laptops.

As of a while back (maybe about the time Win8.1 was released - not sure exactly) the activation keys for OEM copies of Windows are now embedded in the bios of the motherboard that it is tied to, so if you need to reinstall it should automatically find the key from the BIOS of your machine, i.e you shouldn't need the key.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. The last labtop I got before this one was a Win 7 incarnation.
