No Rear Speaker/Surround 5.1 Sound On Audigy RX Win 8.1?

Can anyone be a big help, at all? Just got my new pc with Windows 8.1, and have 5.1 speakers, and the front speakers all work, including the bass, but there's nothing coming out the rear ones. The jacks are obviously in the right place as the front wouldn't be right if they wasn't. Also, I noticed adjust the bass and treble properties doesn't have an effect neither. Any advice, no idea what to do? Thanks.

Just downloaded latest drivers too, and still no difference! Really frustrating me, as have absolutely no idea why it isn't working, plus the base is too loud as well. Really appreciate if someone can resolve this?

Yep, done all that mate, tried different things but no cigar. I thought about playing around more with the jacks, but don't see the point, because if the front left, right and centre are working, then they must be in the right ports? Getting annoyed with it, I know it's not exactly major, but frustrating. I thought it might be to do with me using an HDMI connection from monitor to graphics card whilst I await for a proper adapter. But don't see how that would conflict with the sound as my Audigy is the device I am using.
