Nvidia and Intel card..

So a while ago i noticed my graphics card was having issues crashing etc, which i eventually fixed by redownloading the driver but now i've noticed i can't run any games without my Intel card being enabled.

I just disabled the Intel card in hope that it would force use my Nvidia one, however now none are working, But when i enable the intel card again everything is normal i'm able to play high tier games so i'm guessing the Nvidia card works when the Intel one is on
Either that or my Nvidia isn't working at all and the games are running from the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600?
But i doubt that can run big games like Bioshock right? which works fine aslong as the intel is enabled.

Pretty confused
Also when i try to switch in PhysX configuration from autoselect to Nvidia card only, it won't allow me it'll pop straight back to the Auto select
So yeah i can still game fine aslong as the Intel card is on but i can't force my laptop to use the Nvidia card.

Is it faulty?

Hi Akerific, do you have Optimus running ? If so maybe that is why you need both cards running as optimus is constantly deciding which to use and maybe that is why both have to be available. Incidentally if neither is working how do you see anything on the screen ?
Sorry i don't have a clue about the PhysX question.

When i disable the Intel card the screen goes black and i have to restart to get it back
My laptop used to have the option to run Nvidia high processor all the time, but now i only get Auto-Select :(
