Hey,

I've been looking around the internet and everybody seems to be saying that this card is absolutely useless for gaming. However, when I go on YouTube and look at games running on this graphics card, they seem fine.
On videos like these:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MB8pxw8V3tU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIYm69VMKug&feature=related
... the games run fine and look extremely playable.

I have not bought my PC for gaming, but I might play the odd game on it.
Basically, I'm confused. Will my PC be able to play the odd game (like those above) or will it be useless for gaming?

CPU: i5 2400
RAM: 8GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT520
Motherboard: ASUS® P8H67-M
PSU: 450W

Ah right. Well I don't plan to run them on high settings fortunately. :)
Yeah I've heard of that website before. I'll use it when my PC finally comes.

Anyway, why are people saying it's useless then?

To serious gamers it would be considered useless
& a lot of the members here are gamers,
but to the rest of us it's not.:)
it's not a powerful card, but you will still be able to play quite a few games.
If your not happy with it you could always upgrade in the future.

the left 4 dead looks low res and non widescreen, make note of that

If you are serious about gaming get at least a 6670

I'm not serious about PC gaming at all to be honest. I have my PS3 for gaming. I might play the odd game I can't get on PS3 on my PC, but nothing more. :)

The GT520 was the most I could afford. I'm sure it'll be fine. :) Thanks anyway.
