OC CPU Optimus III 17 inch?

Hey guys, I have ordered an Optimus III 17 inch and hopefully it shall arrive soon :) I wanted to know if I would be able to overclock the CPU.

I have chosen the Ivy-bridge core i5-3210m and I can see that it has a turbo boost of up to 3.1Ghz. I wanted to know if the H77 chipset on the Optimus supports overclocking the CPU to the max turbo frequency of 3.1Ghz? (I am not looking to overclock it beyond the max frequency Intel gives.) And if it is possible, would it cause the temperature to rise too much? Or can I assume it will be safe because it is within Intel's recommended frequency range?

I'm such an idiot! Just Googled it and found out that max turbo frequency means it overclocks itself and there's no need to do it manually. They say that if the CPU is running cool and the software you run will benefit from higher frequency, it will automatically set itself to the higher frequency. Just for reassurance, is this correct?
