Octane III issues

Hi guys, I'm having a lot of issues with my Octane 3 Laptop.

First of all is the noise, the fans are extremely loud, I have never had a 1080 GTX card before and I'm not sure how I can show you how loud it is but the fans can clearly be heard from downstairs when the laptop is upstairs, is this usual for this machine? It's pretty impossible to play any games without a headset, not a major problem as most of the games I play require a headset anyway but just thought I would check if this sounds normal or not?

The biggest issues I'm having are overheating, I can play games like PUBG on low settings for around half an hour and then it becomes unplayable, steam FPS still shows an average of 75 FPS even though it clearly isn't anywhere near that.

The temperatures when running are:
CPU - 70° ish
GPU - 95° ish

No idea what normal temperatures are supposed to be at but I'm guessing those are high?

I have tried all sorts of different settings, tried Geforce Experience which says I should run everything on Ultra as I should be able to I am sure.

Can anyone offer any help? I did buy this laptop second hand but the guy transferred warranty over to me although it's probably run out.

Laptop specs are:

Octane III RS17-X 17.3
I76700
16GB ram
1080 GTX
480GB SSD
2TB HDD

I did check the two fans on the GPU and they seemed fine, I'm not confident enough to be messing around with it though although I'm no PC slouch.

All advice and help is appreciated!

The CPU temp seems alright. The GPU temps is much too high.

Have you cleaned the insides of the laptop of dust? Especially around the fans and heatsinks etc

Yeah, there was hardly any dust at all, I'm guessing it must be something wrong with the GPU itself, can't afford another 1080 though urgh.

The GPU having high temps isn't usually a sign that the GPU is faulty, it's a sign that it's not being cooled properly.

You could consider repasting the system
