Octane III no boot.

Hi,

My octane III was working perfectly yesterday. Closed the lid and the power lead fell out (battery wasn't in) when tried to power it back on the laptop starts then keyboard comes on but no pcspecialist splash screen can't get into bios then just sits working till the fans ramp up then shutdown after a few minutes. This occurred once before and it righted itself after a few restarts.

This time however I've tried several things. I've taken the battery and power lead out held the power button. Cycled the ram in different slots. Tried fn+2 for bios as well as fn+d for bios reset.

I'm at a loss now.

You could try removing and replacing the CMOS battery. They're so cheap you might as well replace it - just in case.

Where is it found? This happened on my previous octane and I did reset the cmos battery. Can't find it on this laptop
