Optimus 15.6 RAM

Some advise required here folks...

Ok, so I went ahead and ordered an Optimus 15.6" laptop and was wondering if anyone knows if one would have any problems using different brands of RAM together?

I opted for 4GB Samsung 1600 (1x4GB) which should be fine for my needs for now - but it did occur to me that should I need to upgrade in the near future, would have I any issues sticking in a couple of different branded sticks (say Crucial for example?) but matched the 1600 speed? Note the Optimus has 3x memory modules. Issues of blue screening and general stability issues would be my main concern.

Also as I've just purchased and I'm still in the processing stage (3rd working day) would it be possible for for me to ask PCS to fit my 1x4GB RAM in the slot under the keyboard leaving the 2x slots in the main CPU/GPU compartment unused?

I have added ram, but it was the same brand and type as that already fitted.

Perhaps now would be a good time to change the order to 8 Gb of ram.

I've used different brands of ram together and it's worked fine, but it can depend on the ram having the same cas latency/timings for example, which can sometimes differ between brands.

OK does anyone know what the cas latency of the samsung RAM is?

I've found that the Crucial branded sticks are Cas Latency 11 and can run at 1.3v/1.5v

Presumably the extra little bit of voltage will aid with Overclocking?

I think the CAS latency can differ on the same make of ram, depending on the ram stick sizes,as in 4GB or 8GB,not certain about that though.
Voltage difference could also cause problems.Shouldn't do any damage giving it a try,I can't guarantee that though.
