hi guys , need any assistance i can get here as im crap with computers lol , been looking at the MSI GE620DX and the optimus 2 , not sure which to get.

Processor Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM Quad Core (2.2 GHz, Intel Sandy Bridge Architecture, 6 MB L3 cache, Features Intel Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz)
Screen 15.6" (MSI, 1920x1080 FULL HD Resolution)
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit
RAM 8GB (DDR3 1333MHZ)
Hard Drive 750GB (7,200RPM)
Optical Drive DVD Rewriter (Records DVDs 8x & CDs 24x & Dual Layer Super Multi)
Graphics Dedicated (NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M with 2GB DDR Dedicated Memory)

those are the specs of the MSI and to get the optimus 2 with the same specs seems to cost quite a bit more, yet the MSI looks alot nicer, can any 1 tell me the diff between the 2 if any. any help would be much appreciated , thanks alot.

I'd be interested in seeing a link to where you're buying that from if you have one, £895 was the cheapest MSI GE620DX I could find and didn't include any of those features you mention.

If it is the webcam that makes the decision, think again, is something so small worth losing all the customer service and warranty you get here?

I know I probably shouldn't be advertising this but there is one here, not a great deal cheaper than what you said.

[Edit by Rakk: you are right, you shouldn't!]

Looks solid, a couple of things, do you really need the sound card, you only really need it if you need 5.1 sound. Also, the wifi card, I would recommend downgrading to the intel 6300 ultimate n. It has very good range and is fast, however, if you have very fast internet, your card is very good.

dunno if i need the sound card but it couldnt hurt lol, though thinking about it , i tend to use headphones alot so i could maybe drop that. my net is 42meg (avg) fibre optic so no probs there

I would suggest either upgrading the card one notch then or dropping one notch for better range either way. Also, for the sound card, don't forget that that is an external thing.

P.S. Thank you very much for all the rep :)!
