Optimus II : intel my wifi technology adapter not found

Hi all,
since I received my Optimus II a couple of weeks ago, I have this icon on the tray which says : intel my wifi technology adapter not found.

First of all, what does INtel My Wifi do exactely? Is it linked to a special network card or other?

Then what can I do to fix it? I don't even know if I need a special card or if I can/should desable it (like the fingerprint scanner which was installed but as there is no fingerprint scanner on the Opimus II, I quickly un-installed it).

Thank you for your help.

Thanks PokerFace. Where should this adapter appear in the Device Manager? Under Network adapters? Should it be named Intel Wifi something? I am asking because I see nothing with that name, and it is possible that it is not even installed.

I don't know totomas. I was just having a google around when I found those links. I don't have the Optimus, so I don't know what's installed on it.

You'll have to wait for someone who actually knows what they are talking about looks at this thread!

I had the same thing on a Optimus II unboxed just today.
It's not an Intel WiFi adapter in the Case, so i uninstalled the software. The realTek WiFi still works fine.
Another image problem PCS?
