Optimus II Screen Failure

The screen on my (awesome) 3-year old Optimus II has stopped working. If you look really closely you can make out a faint outline but it's super super dark. Works fine with an external monitor. From what I can gather this means either the backlight or inverter has failed?

How should I go about identifying which one it is and getting it fixed?

PCS normally have a supply of screens, if you log into your account and go to the spares section it might be listed.

if not I'd give PCS a ring and see what they can do.

Easiest way (only real way) is just to replace the whole screen with a new one. Sounds like the backlight is what has given way.
