Hi, I will have my laptop 2 years coming this autumn, until recently, it has been working fine but then this issue has come up within the past few months.
Basically, when watching twitch streams my cpu will use from 70-95% of cpu power, thus causing it to overheat the laptop and cause the annoying fans to go on ultra speed.
I have googled this issue and it seems to be an issue with flash player (I have been using Google Chrome), but on further tests, when i go to youtube to watch a video, the cpu usage does not spike like it does when watching streams on twitch.tv
Surely this can't be right? A livestream shouldn't be using that much power right?
If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.
Ps: I have also tried to watch twitch streams on my desktop, and the cpu usage stays low at around 20% even while doing other things ie playing games.
Things I have tried:
Switching browsers
Uninstalling flash + reinstalling
Turning off chromes built in flash player
None of these have worked.
