Optimus IV - HOT CPU / LOUD FAN / CRAP BATTERY

Hi Guys,

I've had my baby for just under a year and the thing is dying... probably didnt help that I upgraded to windows 10 without clearing files first...

The CPU jumps to 100 even when idle and doing the most basic tasks.. This was a £1200 system..

Typical CPU "normal" temps.

The fan kicks in all the dahm time.. and it's only ever on a fan cooler..

The battery life only lasts around 45 minutes too.. anyone experience this?

And thoughts on the disk speed.. feels so slow.. lol

You need to clean it, those temps will be throttling the cpu, they're way too high.

Thanks for the reply, Clean as in fresh install? and the fans etc..? ****.. to be fair i haven't done a 'fresh' isntall since purchase..

EDIT: Wait Ive just seen the cleaning thread lol

Tbh, the damage has already been done: that thermal paste is probably as dry as paper now, you'll probably want to re-paste too.
