Optimus V 15" AHCI not detected?

I have an Optimus V with SSD. Running Tweak-SSD to optimize the settings (comes out of the box very non optimal)

But it has ACHI not detected.

Any idea why?

Running the same on my PC, also Win7 64 bit, it detects ACHI just fine.

Needs to be enabled in BIOS. Open the BIOS when you turn on your PC (the key to open it is F2 on my Genesis IV, so it's probably F2 on the Optimus V). The option between IDE and AHCI will likely be in one of the first few tabs.

Any reason it wasn't on in the first place?

It's off by default. AHCI is a newer and better protocol.

That's odd. Says SATA Mode: AHCI.

But tweak SSD thinks its off.
