Optimus V 17"

Likely to purchase this in September, is 1866MHz ram ok in this? Picking up some corsair ram before and windows 7 too.
It actually saves me money leaving only 2GB in the configuration, was going for the skyfire, however, it's just a lump of cheap plastic.

Well, all MSI GE40's suggest otherwise, unless people want a toasty 95c CPU, intel state max is 100c. Then again, i don't believe this notebook will fair any better, just need a decent cooler.

I wasn't comparing, merely stating the Skyfire cooling is rubbish.

I would assume the Skyfire 17 should offer better cooling than the Optimus 17". Not sure what the model is to be able to check for reviews.
