Optimus V Battery Life

Considering buying one of these to use for work each day (IT Support Engineer) so needs to have a decent battery, with the option of doing some light gaming when at home (World of Warcraft, Defence Grid etc)

How does the Haswell chip affect battery life on this model?

According to the detailed specification page the battery life is up to 6 hours (although I suspect this is with the dedicated graphics turned off). http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusV-17/

Ah, i didn't know if that was just the same copied battery life from the Optimus IV...

Good point, hadn't noticed that. I would guess a like for like system theoretically at least, the haswell CPU should make the Optimus V's battery life better. But I'm not sure if anyone's done any testing yet in real life scenarios to see. The chip does use less power than the equivalent ivy/sandy though.
